| Today, according to an ancient tradition of the Order, a special assembly or "Solemn Chapter" of the brethren is recommended to recall and proclaim the Incarnation of the Lord. This may include the reading of the Gospel (Jn 1:1-14), appropriate psalms, responsories such as Descendit de cælis Deus verus (MG 32), or Confirmatum est cor Virginis (AJ I 220). The proclamation of the Incarnation from the Martyrology may be sung. The celebration begins with a brief introduction and may include a homily. | ||
